 local scripts?

What is the difference between local scripts and regular scripts?

What can one do that the other can't?

Okay, I moved this -question- to a different forum. Anyway, to answer your question, normal scripts run on the actual game, local scripts are handled by the user's computer. Sometimes tools run better on the user's computer then on the server. Other then that, there is very little to tell. Local scripts can access LocalPlayer and LocalCamera. Also, local scripts only run under PlayerGui, Backpack, and a Character. Anything else?

Yes, I have a question: Can local scripts be used to render a brick that is laggy. For instance, if a brick seems to be moving wierd, can it put the part in the players camera until it starts to work again. [Excluding core bricks of the game like the base part or everyone would fall.]

Well, depends. Do you want the brick to ONLY be seen by the player? Otherwise, don't.

Well, that was the dilemma... What about not putting it into the characters' local camera, but actually putting every brick in the Dynamic Camera, so that they are cloned and rendered on the Client. Wouldn't that reduce lag on the Roblox Servers?

Yeah.. BTW, I just read a roblox blog article on why you shouldn't use local bricks..... But, I would use them as a last resort.

Local bricks are very useful in several respects, would be nice if ROBLOX fixed some of their issues.

Yeah, it REALLY would help advanced scripters/builders to make better games. I think local bricks would run better if they had the client that had the local bricks send the render data to ROBLOX servers, and they would both work together to make the physics for those bricks act like dynamic bricks, except only one person sees them. [Sorry if I misspelled anything]

I contacted support for a impossible bug that had been sent to the scripting greats and stumped them. They refused to help.

Sorry, that last post made no sense. I contacted the greats with my bug, they tried to help but couldn't figure out a fix. I gave ROBLOX's support a try. They acknowledged the bug but refused to help. I hope that clears it up.
